Have you been struggling with acne problem ? Do you have scars on your face from popped pimples? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you’re not alone.
If you’re looking for a new treatment for your skin, it’s time you learn about Retino-A. After years of struggling with cystic acne myself, I had tried every treatment I could find, but most of them just left my skin dry and flaky without really solving any of my acne problems.
So, what is Retino-A? One day, a friend of mine mentioned the name to me, but I had never heard of it before. It is the best spot treatment I’ve ever tried for one of the most stubborn types of acne – cystic acne.
I wish someone had recommended it to me sooner, which is why I’m writing this article. I want to share some important information about this effective acne treatment to anyone who might be struggling with the same problems I had.
Here, I will answer all of the questions you may have about Retino-A. If you think that this might be a good treatment option for you, ask your doctor or dermatologist about it. I’m certainly glad I did.
What is Retino-A?

Retino-A is a cream that you can apply on areas of your skin that are affected with acne. The type of cream is called Tretinoin, which is made of Vitamin A in its acidic form. It’s available in two different concentrations: 0.05% and 0.025%.
Retino-A is also available as a gel, which combines 1% of an antibiotic called Clindamycin with 0.025% Tretinoin. While Retino-A cream can be used for cystic acne, acne vulgaris, as a treatment of acne scarring and for sun-damaged skin, Retino-A gel is mainly prescribed for acne treatment.

How Does Retino-A Work?
Part 2#
Tretinoin, the active ingredient in Retino-A cream, affects the growth of skin cells wherever you apply it by increasing the reproduction of those cells. This allows the skin to repair and renew itself, making it effective at decreasing the severity as well as the amount of pimples caused by acne.
It also promotes fast healing of pimples that develop on affected areas of your skin. In addition to treating acne, different forms of Retino-A have been found to be very effective at reducing fine wrinkles in the skin, prevent hair loss, and to improve the overall appearance of the skin where it is applied.
Does Retino-A Cause any Side Effects?

When you apply Retino-A cream to your skin, you might notice a brief sting or a warm sensation right away. During the first two to four weeks that you begin using the cream, you may experience dryness, itching, mild burning, redness, scaling or an increase of acne.
The longer you use it, the more these side effects will decrease. If you experience dry skin, you may find relief by using a daytime moisturizer.
Most people do not experience serious side effects, and many people do not experience side effects at all. The only time you should notify your doctor or pharmacist is if these side effects continue for more than four weeks or if they keep getting worse over time.
How is the Cream Used?

Depending on the type of Retino-A cream or gel your doctor has prescribed, treatment instructions may vary, so you should always check with the instructions that come with your specific instructions that come with your prescription.
All forms of Retino-A should only be used topically. That is, do not ever ingest it. Before you apply the cream, be sure to wash your hands with warm water and soap, as well as the affected area where you will be applying the cream.
Before applying the cream, you should wait 20-30 minutes after washing face with coconut oil. Then, simply apply a thin layer of the cream wherever you need to treat the skin. Your doctor will tell you how often to apply it, but usually you will use it once every two to three days.
As I explained earlier, one of the side effects of this treatment is an increase in the severity of your acne, so do not be alarmed if you notice your acne getting worse during the first two to four weeks of the treatment.
How Long Will Retino-A Take to Work?

You should start to notice excellent results within four to six weeks of using Tretinoin cream regularly. If your condition worsens for more than four weeks or if you do not notice results, contact your doctor. You may need a different prescription or a different strength of the cream.
An Excellent Treatment for All

By the second month after I started using Retino-A to treat my cystic acne, my skin had completely cleared up. I even noticed the scars that the pimples and acne had left behind fading away.
